Are you the kind of person who gets excited when they see the first snowflake fall signaling the start of winter? If that;s the case it;s a good bet your the kind of person who likes to visit places where they can fully enjoy winter. 1) Dog Sledding Tours

Have you ever seen a dog sledding race on tv? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to race along the top of the snow? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore as Jackson Hole offers a number of dog sledding tours. These tours are a great way to see the beautiful landscape of the area and in an entirely unique way. There are different options when it comes to the tours ranging from an afternoon jaunt around the national park to a full overnight adventure. If you’re a fan of dogs, and winter then this is a no-brainer.

2) Take a National Park Tour

If you want to just get out, and experience what natures like in the winter then you might consider taking a national park tour. Staying in Jackson Hole gives you access to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, or the National Elk refuge parks. 3) Take a Tram Ride Up a Mountain

For those who want a way to enjoy the amazing scenery around Jackson Hole at a slower place, why not take a sleigh ride? A sleigh is pulled by a team of horses across the snowy landscape, and you can sit back with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the view. A sleigh ride would also serve as the perfect romantic getaway for you and your partner.

5) Do Some Snowboarding

The mountains and hills around Jackson;s Hole offer a number of places to go snowboarding down. It doesn’t matter your level of experience, or even if you don’t have a snowboard. There are beginner classes you can take to teach the fundamentals of snowboarding, and you plenty of shops to rent a snowboard from. So why not try something a little different? Who knows you might like it!

6) Ice Skating

Have you ever dreamed of gracefully sliding across the ice as graceful as a swan? Well if not, then you should at least consider giving ice skating a try. You don’t need to be as graceful as a swan to enjoy this activity, and there are a number of rinks active around Jackson Hole. 7) Downhill or Cross Country Skiing

Skiing and winter seem to go hand in hand, and the area surrounding Jackson Hole offers some of the best skiing in the entire country. There are slopes of varying sizes for every level of experience, and classes for those who wish to learn. You can also rent skis from a number of local establishments. Downhill skiing isn’t the only thing offered though, if you’re up for a challenge then there are some excellent cross-country skiing trails to be had. So you’ve been up and down a mountain, you’ve seen a moose and twirled around the ice rink. Now all you want to do is sit down, and relax. Why not do so at a spa? Jackson Hole offers a number of great local spas for you to unwind and get pampered in. These spas offer a wide range of services for any number of different budgets. After a round in the spa, you will be ready to head outside feeling refreshed, and ready to do everything again.

9) Climbing In the Tetons

If you really want to push the envelope then the Teton Mountains are waiting for you. There is a long history of mountain climbing around Jackson Hole and the infrastructure to support it. If your new to climbing you can get your feet wet climbing rock walls, and from there move on to something a little more challenging.

For the more experienced climbers, the mountains await, just remember to make safety your number one priority. All in all, you will have a wonderful time visiting Jackson Hole in the winter, so don’t wait!
